Being a parent in the 21st century is just not easy!
First step into the party of Hayley's 1st birthday, the wonderful decorations are what that caught my eye. Consistent theme and colors from self-made decorations filled the walls, welcome signs and even details like popcorn holders and party hats!!! (How many late nights Mum?)
If I have to distill my impressions of the party into 3 words, it will have to be:
- Kids:- don't you love the unpredictable nature of kids? "Smile pls!" -- And he turns away... And the next second? he is laughing like a glowing sun.
- Love:- So much love can be seen from the parents (and grandparents) in this party. Reminds me of my own childhood days!
- Fun:- How can it not be, when you are surrounded by a bunch of beautiful kids who make you want to laugh (and cry?)
Location: A private residence @ Hong Kong
My client: A group of unpredictable kids!
Part 1: The Preparations

21st Century Parenting books now need a new Chapter:
"How to host a memorable 1st party....with a consistent design theme!" |
| Cutie pie party hats! |
| Even down to the details!!! (Thumbs up for you Mum!) |
| Happy Birthday Hayley!! |
| "Come to me, my cutie~" |
"Hmm...Thanks Mum, I feel so warm and happy today!"
Part 2: The Fun, The Joy, The Outdoor party-land!
To be honest, a half day kids party photographic task can be more tiring than a full day's work for a wedding! All the running around, all the catching of actions, and all the laughing till you drop (just can't help it!). But in the end of the day, the photos with the cute kids smiles makes it all worthwhile...
| The joys of Grandpa! |
| The warm smiles of love |
Doggie says: "Can I jump over and join the fun?""
| Don't you just LOVE the shirts (and the cute kids!!!) |
| A Beautiful cake! |
Part 3: After a day of excitement...
| Bye Bye my friends! |
| The aftermath of all the fun and .... screaming and running around? |
| "Yah! I am officially one years old!" |
| "Thank you my friends! Thank you for celebrating my 1st birthday!!!!" |
